The “Deadlocked: Dad of the Dead” trailer just hit, the movie drops exclusively on Screamify July 1, and the internet already has questions. Here are five things the first look just showed us.
1. Yes, that’s Eric Roberts. The Oscar-nominated, impossibly-prolific genre legend is in this thing, and an Eric Roberts zombie comedy is exactly the kind of curveball the For You page was built for.
2. The hero is a dad — a literal accountant. Derek Theler plays Iverson, a numbers guy who tags along on his daughter’s work errand and walks straight into a zombie outbreak. Relatable: showing up somewhere you didn’t want to be and immediately regretting it.

3. The location is a bathroom. Most of the survival action goes down with our crew barricaded in a restroom with a pile of strangers. One door. Many dead. Infinite bad-roommate energy.
4. It’s a comedy on purpose. Writer-director Casey Jackson is playing the outbreak for laughs as much as scares — think panic, bickering, and a dad way out of his depth, all in a tight 84 minutes.

5. The cast is deeper than you think. Alongside Theler and Roberts you’ve got Hayley Law, comedy ringer Melissa Peterman, and John Omohundro filling out the trapped-in-a-bathroom ensemble.
Bottom line: contained-outbreak chaos, a genre-vet cameo magnet, and a dad-under-pressure hook built to clip. Watch the trailer — link in bio — and catch the whole thing on Screamify July 1.
