Birdnado just stopped being a teaser and became an actual movie. Screamify confirmed this week that the project — a horror film about a rotating storm system made of birds — has officially entered development, produced in conjunction with ViperFX Studio. Here's the full rundown of what's public right now.
1. The premise. Screamify's own logline: "It was supposed to be migration season. Then the sky started to rotate." Shorter version, straight off the film's press page: "The sky is not safe."
2. The numbers. The teaser has been live since March 29 and has crossed 346,000 views on YouTube — with zero cast attached the entire time. That's a premise doing all the work.
3. The rating. Birdnado carries an SMP-2, Enhanced Practical certification — 15 to 35 percent AI, digital doubles and AI backdrops allowed, live cast required. Translation: the storm is going to be built digitally, the people running from it won't be.
4. The new partner. ViperFX Studio is now attached as a co-producer on the film — the first production credit Screamify has disclosed for the project.
5. What's still missing. No cast. No director. No writer. No release date beyond a stated 2027 window. Screamify says those will come as production firms up.
